Signs you need this

Sound familiar?

You have just bought or are selling a home

A report gives buyers and sellers confidence and can flag problems before they become a negotiation.

It has been 10 years or more since the last check

The recommended interval for owner-occupied homes is every 10 years, or sooner for older properties.

Something does not feel right

Tripping, flickering, warm sockets or a burning smell all deserve a proper inspection.

What is included

What you get

  • Visual inspection of the consumer unit, wiring, sockets, switches and fittings

  • Written EICR with each observation coded C1, C2, C3 or FI
  • Plain-English walk-through of what the codes mean for your home
  • Fixed price for any remedial work, with no obligation to use us

Questions

EICR and Safety Inspections: your questions answered

How long does an EICR take?

A typical house takes a few hours. The power will be off at times while circuits are tested.

What do C1, C2 and C3 mean?

C1 means danger present, C2 means potentially dangerous, C3 means improvement recommended, and FI means further investigation is needed. C1 and C2 items make a report unsatisfactory.

How often should I get one?

Every 10 years for a home you own and live in, and every 5 years for a rented property, or sooner if the report recommends it.
